Dr Ibrahim has been with the practice since 1977 and has been senior partner since 1988. She is married with two sons and is interested in all aspects of General Practice. |

Dr Dempster has been with the practice since 1994. She is married with three children and has a keen interest in family planning and all aspects of women’s health.

Dr David Brown MA(Oxon), BMBCh, MRCGP
Dr Brown qualified in 1991 from the University of Oxford and has spent his career as a GP, joining the Bourne Surgery in 1996. His philosophy is one of establishing and maintaining a close and knowledgeable relationship with patients, providing a local service where patients feel comfortable.
Specific medical interests range into Diabetes and Chronic Disease Management. He is married with two children, attends the gym and has a taste for heavy rock music. |

Dr Rebecca Reynolds BSc MBBS
Dr Reynolds qualified in 1995 from St. Mary’s in Paddington and joined the Bourne Surgery in November 2000. When at Medical School, Dr Reynolds quickly found her calling as a GP.
She is drawn to the overall care of patients, with specific interest in the holistic approach to diagnosis and cure. Married, Dr Reynolds attends the gym coupled with an energetic and fanatical love of netball. |

Dr Kefford
Dr Kefford joined the practice in 2001. She is married and has a keen interest in women’s health. She is also a GP trainer and is responsible for training GP Registrars. Dr Kefford also carries out Minor Surgery and runs the diabetic clinic at the practice. |

Dr Taylor
Dr Taylor joined the practice in December 2003. She lives with her partner and is interested in all aspects of General Practice, taking a special interest in asthma and respiratory illness.

Dr O'Dowd
Dr O’Dowd is a part-time GP retainer who works at the practice for 2 days per week. She is married with 3 children. |

Dr Aliaa Majeed
Dr Majeed qualified in 1995 at Baghdad University, Iraq and has worked overseas as well as in the UK. She has a special interest in paediatrics, womens health and family planning. She is married with 3 children. When she is not working she likes to listen to classical music and enjoys long distance walking.

Practice Nurses
The Practice Nurses play an important role in the management of your care. The following are some of their many skilled duties:
Asthma Management, Audiometry, Blood tests, Coronary Heart Disease Management, Contraception advice and management, Dressings, Ear syringing, ECG tests, Family planning, High Blood Pressure Management, Hormone replacement therapy checks and management, Immunisations and vaccinations, Ischaemic heart disease management, Minor illness, Smears, Spirometry (lung function test), Suture removal, Swabs, Travel advice and vaccinations, Triage – available for advice, Wound checks and dressings.
When making an appointment with the Practice Nurse, please give the receptionist a brief indication as to what the problem is so that you can be given the correct appointment time. |

Sister Trish Chapman
Trish trained at St Georges Hospital, London, completed her orthopaedic training in Edinburgh and A&E training in Birmingham prior to becoming a practice nurse. Trish has an interest in chronic disease management to include primary and secondary prevention of CHD. She also feels passionate about smoking cessation. Trish enjoys new challenges, playing tennis, walking and travelling and particularly enjoys looking after her menagerie of pets. |

Nurse Helga Wright
Nurse Wright started her training in 1970 and qualified out of St Bartholomews in London. After training she spent 18 months working in Anaesthetics, then trained at Surrey University for a Diploma to work as a Health Visitor.
She was a Health Visitor in Farnham until 1984. After a break to start a family, she returned to nursing at the Bourne Surgery in 1993. Alongside the general clinics she is the surgery’s Smoking Cessation Specialist. Married with four ‘lads’ Nurse Wright enjoys classical music, playing the piano and walking her dogs. |

PHLEBOTOMISTS
Our phlebotomists are available throughout the week in the practice (in one site or the other) to take blood tests to avoid trips to the hospital out patients department. |

DISTRICT NURSES
Our team of District Nurses provide home nursing services especially for the housebound, elderly, chronically sick and those recently in hospital. Messages for the District Nurse can be passed on via the receptionist.
HEALTH VISITORS
The Community Health Visitors work with us, and they have a special interest in child development as well as the promotion of health in all age groups.
COMMUNITY MIDWIVES
Our midwives are attached to the practice and, together with your doctor, provide antenatal and postnatal care.
